MANAGING ADOLESCENT DEVIANT BEHAVIOR: THE ROLE OF А SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST

The article reveals the essence of deviant personality behavior, reveals the content of criteria and indicators of the formation of deviant behavior in adolescence. The main factors of its occurrence are singled out, the peculiarities of its manifestation in adolescence are indicated, as well as effective means of prevention, which can be applied by a school psychologist through the prism of psychological and pedagogical research, are identified. A generalization was made regarding the adolescent's propensity for deviations.
Effective methods that a school psychologist can use in preventive work to neutralize the manifestations of adolescent deviant behavior are lectures, conversations, speeches at parent meetings, pedagogical councils, aimed at improving the psychological and pedagogical culture of parents and teachers, group trainings of resistance to negative social influence, development emotional self-regulation. The peculiarity of deviant behavior is that it is accompanied by various manifestations of social maladjustment. It has been investigated that psychological and pedagogical work with adolescents prone to deviant behavior involves planning and organizing preventive programs that include various forms and methods of activity, which must be carried out with preventive, diagnostic and corrective purposes.
The article pays special attention to the focus of preventive work on the elimination and prevention of deviant behavior within the tasks and competencies of the psychological service.
