THE FACTOR MODEL OF THE VALUE STRUCTURE OF THE SUBJECTS OF THE EDUCATION PROCESS IN HIGHER SCHOOL

Abstract

The article presents the results of the study of the value structure of personality of the subjects of the educational process in higher education. During the research it was found out that the system of individual value priorities of the lecturers of the institution of higher education and higher education students has a specific structural organization, which is determined by a set of integrated value guidelines. In quality of integral value guidelines of the subjects of educational process in higher school the following factors were singled out: “the value disposition of transcendence”, “the value disposition of achievement” and “the value disposition of conservatism”.

The content of the “the value disposition of transcendence” is determined by the individual’s attitude towards the realization of the motivational goals of universalism, to ensure the well-being of all people regardless of their social affiliation, to show kindness towards people regardless of life circumstances and situations without seeking control or domination over them. “The value disposition of achievement” is characterized by the striving of the individual for personal success and achievement through the display of competence in accordance with social standards. The content of “the value disposition of conservatism” is defined by the individual’s attitude to the adoption and reproduction of customs, ideas and norms of behaviour adopted in society; it is characterized by the desire to avoid actions that do not meet social expectations; it is manifested in the cultivation of the primacy of collective and individual security.

It is supposed that an understanding of the patterns of development of the value structure of the subjects of the educational process in higher education can be the basis for its optimization and provision of effective prediction of the level of academic success of higher education students.
