Abstract

The article deals with the problem of the professional competence of a specialist in a sphere of physical rehabilitation in view of the analysis of his/her professional activity in the system “person – person”. The system of general values which are necessary for the formation of future a specialist in a sphere of physical rehabilitation was shown. The professional competence was clarified and characterized. The problem of distinguishing between different types of using the term “competence” according to the meanings of these types was updated. Indicators that are the parts of this competence of a specialist in a sphere of physical rehabilitation were distinguished.

It was noted that professional competence in the process of the professional activity of a specialist in a sphere of physical rehabilitation is the ability of a specialist to solve optimally a certain range of professional tasks and problems. It was determined that professionalism implied the formation of many professional skills, as well as competencies, for example: the competence of providing professional activity, the competence in the process of professional communication, the autopsychological competence.

The main competencies of the professional activity are: special (knowledge of people about their profession, skills and abilities); technological competencies; subjective ones; legal competencies; economic ones; socio-psychological competencies, etc.

The competencies which denote the professional communication are: communicative ones (the ability to communicate, collaborate and interact); social and perceptive competencies; interactive ones; differential and psychological competencies; diagnostic ones (the ability to study the environment); ethical competencies; empathic ones; intercultural competencies (tolerance to other cultures); competencies to make resistance to conflicts, etc.

There are some competencies in the development of a professional qualities of a person: psychological competencies (the ability to study another person); individual ones, autopsychological competencies (the ability to study my own person); cultural ones (the ability to master cultural norms adopted in this society as a standard for the development of one’s personality); reflexive competencies and others.

Socio-psychological competences are: the ability jointly, collectively to perform professional activities; mastering the techniques of doing tasks in a professional group, in a team; the ability to; ensuring mutual knowledge, understanding, mutual correction in joint professional activities; the ability to create preconditions for mobilization of mental development reserves of participants of joint activity; rational allocation of functions and roles in joint professional activities; the use design (if necessary) a new professional environment, to master new forms of business and creative communication of a wide range of communication technologies that exclude manipulation by other people; to study in the process of pursuing the professional activity of other people, to provide the empathic attitude towards them, etc.
