The types of anxiety such as situational and personal anxiety are outlined. The main behavioral manifestations, cognitive indicators and physical manifestations are characterized.
Anxiety is manifested by a tendency to experience frequent and intense worries. It is an unstable mental state caused by stress factors. The key emotion of the subjective experience of anxiety is fear (imaginary or real).
The author of the article conducted an experimental research of adolescent anxiety related to the socio-political situation in Ukraine. Specifically, with the volatility of social and living conditions: in unusual conditions during the military aggression of the russian federation. The results of the experimental study show the dynamics of adolescents' anxiety level over a temporal period of time. A survey was conducted on the need for psychological assistance in different periods of the war.
The article determines the list of determinants that influence the increase of anxiety of adolescents. It is worth emphasizing that anxiety of the optimal level is a protective reaction against a real threat, but when it increases, it acts contrary to the intentions of the adolescent. Increased anxiety is a complex psychological phenomenon that, in most cases, when its intensity increases, has a devastating ef ect on a growing personality, development, improvement, and behavior. Increased anxiety af ects the behavior of adolescents in dif erent ways. It causes the need to train behavioral resilience and develop skills of self-control and self-regulation. It should be an imperative for the psychological service of social institutions to prevent and correct adolescent anxiety.
