The Editorial Board of the journal follows the ethical standards and guidelines developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). In addition, the Editorial Board follows WAME’s ethical standards for protecting the rights of research subjects and remains committed to the DORA principles, emphasizing the quality of scientific research over quantitative citation indicators

Editorial Ethics

We value the trust you place in us, and we guarantee:

  • Objectivity: Every manuscript is evaluated solely on its scientific merit, regardless of the author's gender, race, religion, or political views.
  • Confidentiality: Your work is your intellectual property. Until the moment of publication, we do not disclose any information about your manuscript to anyone other than the reviewers and editors directly involved in the process.
  • Quality of Peer Review: We organize a "double-blind" peer-review process to ensure you receive constructive and unbiased feedback from expert peers in your field.

Author Ethics

We invite you to join us in upholding high-quality scientific standards and ask that you adhere to the following principles:

  • Originality: By submitting a manuscript, you confirm that it is your original research and has not been previously published in another language or in another journal.
  • Integrity in Citations: We promote a culture of proper attribution. Please ensure that all ideas, data, or results from other researchers are accurately credited and cited.
  • Data Accuracy: We trust your findings; however, we encourage maximum precision in describing your methodology and processing empirical data to ensure reproducibility.

Psychological studies must comply with internationally accepted ethical standards. Approval from an ethics committee is required in the following cases:

  • direct interaction with participants is involved;
  • the study includes psychological or behavioral intervention or manipulation;
  • personal or sensitive data are collected, including mental health information;
  • vulnerable populations are involved (e.g., children, adolescents, patients, individuals with limited legal capacity);
  • the use of deception or induction of emotional distress.

Studies based exclusively on fully anonymized publicly available data may be exempt from ethics approval, provided that this is explicitly stated in the manuscript.

Plagiarism Policy: Respect for Intellectual Work

Our journal maintains a strict policy against any forms of inappropriate borrowing, as we aim to publish only research that brings new insights into psychological science.

Every manuscript submitted to the editorial office undergoes a mandatory plagiarism check. To achieve this, we use specialized software that identifies overlaps with previously published works, theses, and online resources.

What do we consider a violation?

It is essential for us that authors avoid all forms of academic misconduct, specifically:

  • Direct Plagiarism: Copying text, ideas, or results from other researchers without proper attribution.
  • Self-Plagiarism: Reusing significant portions of your own previously published texts without referencing the original source.
  • Inappropriate Borrowing: Using charts, tables, or specific methodologies without permission or proper citation.

 Consequences for Authors

We rely on your integrity; however, please be advised that any identified instances of plagiarism are grounds for the immediate rejection of the manuscript during the review process. If a violation is established after publication, the editorial board will initiate an article retraction procedure from the official website and international databases

 Conflict of Interest and Transparency

We strive for science that is free from hidden influences. If there are any financial or personal relationships that could be perceived as influencing the results of your research, we kindly ask you to disclose them in your cover letter.

 Addressing Challenges

Science is a dynamic process, and occasionally errors occur. If you notice a significant inaccuracy in your article after it has been published, we are always ready to cooperate. In accordance with COPE guidelines, we will assist in promptly issuing a correction (corrigendum) or, in extreme cases, perform a retraction procedure
