The paper outlines the specifics of self-regulation of education managers. Socio-psychological factors influencing the emotional sphere of personality of education managers in the context of self-regulation are researched. It has been outlined that the professional activity of education managers has its own characteristics, which require not only the professional competence of the employee, but also certain personal qualities that determine the effectiveness of his professional activities. The peculiarities of psychical self-regulation as a condition of personal growth in the process of realization of educational and professional tasks are substantiated. It is noted that self-regulation and self-control of a specialist provide the character of his professional interaction, behavior in everyday and extreme situations, and especially the reaction to circumstances.
Author of the paper tells about such socio-psychological factors of self-regulation of the emotional states of the education managers as: psychologically significant circumstances of an objective character (the achievement of the level of professionalism depends on them); psychological determinants of the subjective nature and could be defined as the driving forces of professionalism development. The research confirms the necessity of mastering the methods of self-regulation those could be for manager of education not only a lifeline in overcoming the influence of negative psychic states on professional activity, but also one of the elements of personal self-improvement.
