Abstract

The article explores psychodiagnostic approaches to studying an individual’s socio-professional demand in the context of ongoing socio-economic changes. It focuses on the theoretical foundations of this phenomenon and its relevance in modern social and economic conditions. The importance of this line of research is explained by the lack of an established tradition of comprehensive diagnostics of the meaningful components of socio-professional demand, taking into account both the social context and contemporary economic realities. These components include socio-professional competencies, personal adaptability, and the potential for personal and socio-professional self-realization.

The paper reviews existing approaches to defining socio-professional demand, as well as its key determinants, psychological indicators, and evaluation criteria. It analyzes psychodiagnostic methods that make it possible to assess self-realization, adaptability, professional motivation, and personal potential as factors contributing to an individual’s socio-professional demand. Particular attention is given to diagnostic tools such as professional orientation questionnaires, motivational profile assessments, and tests of adaptation and social competence. The article substantiates the need to develop integrated psychodiagnostic instruments that can adequately reflect the dynamic and changing nature of contemporary socio-economic conditions.
