Abstract

The article explores the transformation of women's role scenarios in the context of the war in Ukraine. It analyzes women’s involvement in military, volunteer, and diplomatic initiatives, as well as their impact on the social and humanitarian spheres. The study emphasizes the multifaceted role of women not only in national defense but also in community support, assistance to victims, psychological recovery, and international representation.

Particular attention is given to the evolving roles of women in active combat zones as one of the most severe tests of human psychological resilience which is accompanied by fear, pain, and trauma that often leave lasting psychological imprints. The article underscores the critical role Ukrainian women play in contemporary social, economic, and military processes, which has become a subject of growing interest in psychological research.

In times of war and crisis, Ukrainian women demonstrate remarkable resilience, adaptability, and a capacity to assume responsibility for their families, communities, professional duties, and even combat operations. Their exceptional psychological strength and endurance have garnered international recognition. Their experiences represent a valuable area of inquiry within psychology, sociology, and gender studies. Examining their roles and adaptive mechanisms can inform the development of effective support and rehabilitation strategies in both wartime and post-war contexts
