Abstract

The article is devoted to how art therapy methods impact the stabilization of the psycho-emotional state of military wives, enhancing their resilience and strengthening family relationships. It has been proven that using these methods helps harmonize the emotional state of military wives in conditions of anticipation and uncertainty. Mandala therapy has been shown to reduce stress, increase psychological resilience, and promote emotional recovery, which is crucial for adapting to uncertainty and post-war life.

The article examines the effect of art therapy on the psycho-emotional state of military wives to enhance resilience and develop internal resources. The most adaptive and effective strategies in situations of high uncertainty and stress are rational thinking (37.78%) and physical activities (33.33%). A positive correlation was identified between resilience and the certain resource channels such as belief & values (R = 0,375; p = 0,011) and rational thinking (R = 0,399; p = 0,007). A "Tree of Life" mandala therapy method was developed and tested, demonstrating improvements in the psycho-emotional state following group art therapy sessions. The results revealed a link between the emotional state of military wives and their ability to focus on daily tasks, facilitating a reduction in emotional tension. The mandala therapy method has proven effective in working with military personnel's wives. Participants reported a reduction in anxiety, improved sleep, and a restored sense of control over their lives.

Thus, the research findings suggest that it is essential to strengthen not only the rational and physical channels of stress resilience for military personnel's wives but also to enhance social support and emotional regulation, which were found to be the least active in this sample. Such measures will contribute to increasing the level of psycho-emotional resilience and reducing the risk of emotional burnout.
