PERSONAL DISPOSITIONS OF FUTURE PSYCHOLOGISTS AS DETERMINANTS OF READINESS TO WORK WITH ADOLESCENTS PRONE TO DEVIANT BEHAVIOUR

Abstract

The article analyses the personal dispositions of future psychologists in the context of preparation for work with adolescents prone to deviant behaviour. Based on the analysis of theoretical sources, it is established that the personal qualities of future specialists significantly affect the formation of readiness to work in the chosen speciality and determine the success of professional activity. 

Factorization of personal characteristics of the research participants made it possible to obtain a factor model of personal dispositions of future psychologists. The complex of integral dispositions (factors) of future psychologists, which includes “personal self-control”, “personal openness”, “personal self-acceptance”, “personal independence”, has been determined.

We believe that the structural model of future psychologists' readiness to work with adolescents prone to deviant behaviour is determined by a set of integral structural components (factors) – “creative and practical”, “cognitive”, “value and motivational”, and “regulatory”.

It was found that the dispositions of “personal openness” and “personal self-acceptance” were verified as predictive personal determinants of the formation of the “creative and practical” component of future psychologists' readiness to work with adolescents prone to deviant behaviour, the “cognitive” component – the dispositions of “personal self-control” and “personal independence”, the “value and motivational” component – the disposition of “personal openness”, the “regulatory” component – the disposition of “personal self-control”.

It has been proved that future psychologists' readiness to work with adolescents prone to deviant behaviour is a systemic personal education that is formed during studies in a higher education institution, represented by an appropriate level of development of their mental, emotional and volitional, value and motivational, and operational personal spheres, each structural component of which is determined by a specific system of prognostic personal determinants
