The article is devoted to the problem of the development of intellectual abilities in children of primary school age. Modern teaching methods of teaching are not always effective in the context of mental development. The way to solve this problem lies through the development of an active form of didactic interaction. After a long analysis of scientific achievements, we stopped our gaze on a didactic game. It especially harmoniously combines play and learning. In other words, it is possible to combine elements of play and learning in various combinations in order to cause intellectual activity.
Another key point of this choice. We proceeded from the considerations that in the first grades there is an adaptation to the educational process, as well as a change in leading activities. In this context also, a didactic game that provides a smooth transition to a new leading activity - learning is best suited. Given these principles, a model of teacher-student interaction was developed. This is a kind of complex of elements of educational and game interaction aimed at the development of the cognitive sphere and intellectual abilities of children of primary school age. The correctness of this approach is confirmed by the results, indicating a high level of development of intellectual abilities of first-graders at the end of the school year. Thus, we have achieved our goal and we intend to study the effectiveness of this model in the second and third grades of primary school.
