Abstract

The current situation in Ukraine during the war is actively discussed by various scientific communities. It is logical that there is a significant increase in mental disorders and a number of psychological problems of the country's population. As a result, representatives of mental health care and medicine in general will have to work with this, as well as take into account new realities when obtaining higher medical education.

Post-traumatic stress disorder can be seen in people who have survived a certain disaster, natural disaster, accident, crime, war, assault, child theft, among others, and in people who witnessed such events and those who deal with the consequences situations. During an extreme situation or stress, the human body undergoes a significant depletion of protective forces. Also, in the absence of the resources of the human body to master any of the above extraordinary events to life experience, mental disorders of a psychogenic nature may arise, in particular, post-traumatic stress disorder. It arises as a result of a mismatch between external threatening factors and the internal individual resources of a person to overcome them. Then there are negative changes in personality and deterioration of health in general. Anxiety threatens emotional exhaustion, loss of working capacity, may indicate disharmonious personality functioning. After being in extreme situations, a person needs special attention, support and psychocorrective help. Depending on how psychocorrection of these disorders was carried out, the effectiveness of overcoming anxiety depends.
