THE PECULIARITIES OF PLAY THERAPY APPLICATION IN THE PSYCHOLOGIST’S WORK

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of using play therapy as a method of work with fears, complexes, affective disorders and other unconscious structures of personality. It is important before applying play therapy, to pay attention to the situation of the family and the relationships with the child. A major factor in preventing the resolution of psychological problems in children are parent’s serious conflicts and disadvantaged conditions of themselves. The basis of psychological assistance to the child – is the complete approval and confirmation of individuality. The main goal – is that the play brings joy, comfort and peace to the child so that it passes only from the free desire of the child. It is important to dose the emotional load and monitor the health of the child. It was made an attempt to analyze the possibilities and functions of play therapy as an instrument of positive influence on a child, work with the subconscious individual, as well as a method aimed at selfdevelopment of the individual. The author covers the main directions of play therapy, the role of the play in the processes of communication, structures in the knowledge of the world, the base of playing activities. In the article it is indicated on the interdependence of the play in children’s and preschool age, on the child’s construction of a positive orientation. The author believes that play therapy is one of the most effective methods of dealing with fears, phobias, and affective disordered personality behaviors. It enables not only to detect and correct personality disorders, but also to influence the formation of adequate values, behavior’s positive constructs and the personal correct orientation.
