ADAPTIVE SCENARIOS OF PERSONALITY SELF-DEVELOPMENT IN THE CONDITIONS OF CURRENT IMPERMANENCE

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of phenomenology of self-realization of an individual in the modern socio-cultural space. The purpose of the work is the study of the resources of adaptive scenarios of self-fulfilment in unstable conditions of social crises. The author analyses the characteristics of the process of self-realizationin details, identifies active adaptive personality scenarios as a predictor of effective self-development. The markers of subjective well-being and perceived motives for responsible behaviour of the respondents were considered. The sample was represented by 287 respondents aged 15–22, living in the territories of Ukraine (183 persons) and Canada (104 persons who are the forced migrants from Ukraine). It is statistically confirmed that the level of awareness of the psychological well-being of respondents in Ukraine is lower than that of the respondents in Canada, who consider themselves more protected. It was established that the respondents of both groups are dissatisfied with the state of interpersonal relationships and the quality of their own lives. It has been proven that teenagers and young men in Ukraine choose mainly adaptive scenarios of the compensatory type, conditioned by social motives and motives of moral self-affirmation. For respondents outside Ukraine, adaptive scenarios oriented towards selfish and pragmatic self-affirmation, actualization of protective mechanisms of mimicry aimed at survival and self-preservation are more characteristic.It is concluded thatthe psychological resource of adaptability of pupils and students of the adolescent-youth age implicitly depends on the level of moral development of an individual and the motivation of responsible behaviour on the way to self-realization.
