THE FORMATION OF POSITIVE I-CONCEPT OF FUTURE PRACTICAL PSYCHOLOGISTS

Abstract

The article attempts to theoretical generalization of modern scientific achievements on the actual problem of the formation of a positive I-concept in adolescence. The features of self-value sphere of modern student as a bright representative of youth age are analyzed. The results of the empirical study of the content aspects of the I-concept of student youth as components that mediate the formation of personal and professional qualities of future specialists in the field of psychology are presented. Also, procedures for comparing the results of the diagnostic examination of students of the first and fourth year students were made. Formation of the personality of a person lasts all his life, however, the period of study in high school plays a special role in this process. It is at this time that the student laid the foundations of those qualities of a specialist, with whom he will enter a new atmosphere for him, in which his further development as a person will take place. Therefore, the question of the personal formation of students in the aspect of their professional activities should be constantly at the center of attention of higher education. To do this, the system of teaching and learning process should be built on the basis of harmonization of student development both as a personality and as a specialist. As a scientific concept, the I-concept became a specialty literature relatively recently, perhaps because in the literature, both domestic and foreign, there is no single interpretation; the closest content to it is the self-consciousness.
