The article deals with the psychological analysis of adolescence as a transitional period affecting the system of interrelations both with adults and peers. It is stated that behavioral norms established at the macro-level by society and at the micro-level by school life regulations and family traditions are often violated in the form of deviant behavior. It is revealed that deviant behavior is the act of a person who goes beyond the norms established by society and appears on the background of adolescents need for self-assertion during the transitional period from childhood to adulthood, and
external factors connected with the elements of cruelty, aggression, hostility, individualism. Psychological factors provoking and giving impetus to the adolescent deviant behavior shape formation are also analyzed. It has been studied that the main reasons for the increase in the number of adolescents
with deviant behavior are certain drawbacks in educational and pedagogical process and low opportunities for socialization and self-realization in the school collective. It is revealed that necessary conditions and factors of the interpersonal relations development in adolescence are two different
systems of relations by its importance for mental development: one with adults, the other with peers. Accordingly, it is important taking into account the individual and typological peculiarities of adolescents during their counseling, which will improve the general psychological state. It is emphasized that use of deviant behavior studying methods of adolescents in the work of practical psychologist should be based on both symptomatic (dealing with specific symptoms of deviations) and preventive (removing the causes, factors and conditions that provoke them) approaches. The obtained theoretical and empirical results canbe used by practical psychologists not only in providing qualified psychological assistance to parents
educating a teenager with a deviant behavior, but also for self-education and educative activities of all population groups.
